Dit Seen Kuen 鐵線拳

Dit Seen Kuen form is regarded as the ‘treasure’ of the traditional Hung Gar kung fu syllabus. In English, it is known as the Iron Wire Fist. Dit Seen Kuen consists of a series of movements accompanied by the practitioner emitting specific sounds that resonate internally. The combined effect is to develop power that can be applied to the style’s ‘fighting’ forms, and to provide health and longevity for the practitioner. According to Hung Gar lore, this set was devised by an heroic historical figure known as ‘Dit Kiu Sam / Iron Bridge Three’.
